10 Ways To Develop A Growth mindset.

We are all happy when our ideas bear fruit. We are even happier when the ideas have an impact, for example by improving motivation, innovative strength, or productivity. Spreading an idea can benefit many, but that popularity can also alter and distort the original.I’m a fan of Carol Dweck’s research. Dweck is a highly respected professor of psychology at Stanford University and the author of several books including Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. In Mindset, Dweck distinguishes a “growth mindset” from a “fixed mindset”. According to Dweck:A growth mentality is “the belief that an individual’s most basic skills and abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work – brains and talent are just the beginning.”A fixed mindset is “the belief that a person’s basic abilities and skills, his intelligence and his talents are just fixed qualities”.Dweck concluded that people who believe they can develop their talents through hard work, good strategy, and input from others have a growth mentality. These individuals are likely to achieve more than those with a fixed mindset because they put more energy into learning and are less concerned with looking smart.

Here are ten ways to develop a growth mentality in business

1. Be 100 percent accountable

To grow, you must be accountable or willing to take responsibility. As an entrepreneur, you need to start taking responsibility and accountability for yourself. As you grow, you will demonstrate responsibility and its value to your team; They will follow your example and make accountability part of your company culture.

2. Don’t care about what others have

Avoiding envy is fundamental when trying to be focused, motivated, and a leader. Focusing on what others have and what they are doing creates expectations that just slow you down and take focus away from your goal.

3. Become an expert in your field

I meet so many so-called “headliners”, people who dig at the surface. In a world fueled by fake news, photoshopped social media posts, and other illusions, becoming an expert is essential. Strive to get good at what you do – so good that everyone wants your services. Stand out with your specialty.

4. Don’t focus on your mistakes

When we learn that we should work on our weaknesses, we tend to think that we need to hold on to our mistakes. But focusing on your flaws gives critics too much leverage against you. Instead, assert yourself and learn from your mistakes, and then focus on learning and growing from your mistakes.

5. Get the work done and invest the time

Greatness does not come from contributing only ten percent. Put in 10 percent and you only reach 2 percent of your potential. To achieve great things, you have to be at 100 percent and put in the time and effort.

6. Do what you love for the people who love what you do

One of my favorite sayings is, “You must be single-minded in doing what you love for those who love what you do.”Discovering your purpose is just as important as finding your niche. You’ll bring a lot more value and expertise to those who need it, and you’ll have so much more fun offering your products and services.

7. Don’t focus on money

Business leaders who focus solely on money are never completely satisfied and often lose their customers. Instead, focus on creating value. You want customers to tell you how proud they are of your products and services. You want your employees to say how great it is to work for you and how much they learn from you. Focus on winning fans through value creation.

8. Achieve your results quickly

Don’t obsess over perfection. Instead, be quick. Getting there first has more value than being perfect, but last. This first-mover advantage is very important for growth. Develop an appetite to fail often and quickly, and develop your products and services quickly and better in line with the needs of your customers.

9. Be grateful for what you have

Be thankful for what you have now. Be grateful for what you will achieve. Be thankful for what you don’t have. Gratitude is a gift and a prerequisite for a growth mentality. The true expression of gratitude releases energy that has the power to draw people to you. Explore and embrace it.

10. Become self-aware and understand your purpose

If you want to be successful in life, you must know your purpose. If you want to have a mindset about business growth, you need to become self-aware and understand your purpose. Confidence has the power to direct your will and humility, which attracts people to your destiny.
