The UdeM Exemption Scholarship is now available for graduate, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in all subjects at the University of Montreal, Canada.

The only criteria used to evaluate the financial award is the strength of the candidate’s academic performance. The evaluation of the evaluation results is divided into three stages as follows:
- Tier A: $11,998 per year, 2 sessions for 30 credits or $5,999 per session with 15 credits or $399 for one credit.
- Tier B: $5,718 per year, 2 sessions for 30 credits or $2,859 per session with 15 credits or $190.60 for 1 credit.
- Tier C: $2,000 per year, 2 sessions for 30 credits or $1,000 per session with 15 credits or $66.67 for one credit
Master level:
To help students graduate as international students, a stipend is also provided for a limited waiver of the additional fees typical of international students.
- $9,420 per year for 3 sessions for 45 credits or $3,140 for each session which is 15 credits.
PhD level:
To help students graduate as international students, a stipend is also provided for a limited waiver of the additional fees typical of international students.
- $19,339 per year for 3 sessions, which is 45 credits, $6,546 per session, which is 15 credits available throughout the study period.
Conditions of participation
To receive a Global Excellence Graduate Fellowship, the applicant must meet all the required criteria:
- Applicants should be licensed students who are neither permanent residents nor Canadian citizens
- must be enrolled in a full-time course for the entire duration of the course;
- May not benefit from any other form of fee waiver through any other policy or measure. French and Belgian francophone students, for example, already benefit from this type of exemption
Application process:

- After selecting the desired courses and completing the application form, the students will be assigned a code for access to the “Student Center” platform. Here students can track their application and receive their proposed acceptance letter.
- A separate application for the scholarship is not required. Successful students are automatically considered after the application documents have been checked.
- Upon receipt of the offer of admission, the Université of Montréal will email students the amount of the exemption grant they are entitled to.
